My town is not big enough that people would be blogging or twittering very often about our library, so I went with the town searches in Twitter (finally signing up for Twitter so I will do Thing #13 later), and Google Alert. The Google Alerts came up with some local news and I was able to get a few twits to my e-mail, mostly job postings and a lady who did not seem very excited to be coming here for business. "Whoop." Oh, well.
As I was looking through Thing #24 instructions, I looked again at the Bloglines Citation Search. So I did a citation search of our library's web address and did a subscription of the search so I can see if anyone ever links to our website. There were 2 results (both linked to Delicious Thing #14) already so maybe more in the future.
Since most of the searches came up were news and the Bloglines Citations were old and the twit was unenthusiastic, there was nothing to respond to. What a let down to try to get this working.
